God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box, And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day, The black was as light as before.
With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be!"
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
"My child, they're all here with me.."
I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go."

Kiddie party @ 17

Last December 13, 2010 around 10:00 am up to 12 in the afternoon, the Block B of 2nd year students enrolled in Development Communication, celebrates their Kiddie Christmas part 2010.

All the fun were started in the building 205. All the students including the teacher were asked to dressed up for the event. Games, group activities such as : presentations, chants and banner competition are held. There were four teams organized with different tasks assigned in the class, namely: Blue job for the program, pink panties for the decoration concerns, Red riding hood as prizes committee and green minded for the cute games. Everyone had fun and the chance to put everything the theories learned into action during their Interpersonal Communication (IPC) session with our professor Ms. Tolinero- who was very supportive and affirmative during the party. The students were not just learning in the four walled classroom but even in the real organizing of social gathering such as these.

Though I am 17 years old now, I still enjoyed the kiddie party we had, before our Christmas break. As I look back in my childhood days where I wasn't able to enjoy it due to some family and self identity trouble, I felt so sad. Yet still the Lord is so good. He let me experienced how it is to e a child in that short span of time, and I really treasure the moment I had with my block mates. Thanks to my Father in heaven, who dearly love me as His own.

Praise be to Jesus forever!
