God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box, And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day, The black was as light as before.
With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be!"
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
"My child, they're all here with me.."
I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go."

Acknowledging the Source

Here on the world we live in, are full of rules and regulations to follow. For us to have a harmonious living. If someone fails to abide, punishment will be received by the law breaker.

Even in the early journalism period and during our major Devcomm major subject since last year, Plagiarism was already a big issue and should be a "No-no" to us communication practitioners.

What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the act of taking another person's writing, conversation, song, or even idea and passing it off as your own. This includes information from web pages, books, songs, television shows, email messages, interviews, articles, artworks or any other medium. Whenever you paraphrase, summarize, or take words, phrases, or sentences from another person's work, it is necessary to indicate the source of the information within your paper using an internal citation. It is not enough to just list the source in a bibliography at the end of your paper. Failing to properly quote, cite or acknowledge someone else's words or ideas with an internal citation is plagiarism.

A concrete example of it is that my personal experience way back high school. Everytime we were told to do some research work/ assignment and more, then copy-paste the content, we need to acknowledge the source of it. This leads me to my learning in our major subject about how important it is to acknowledging the source of every researches done.

Like the same way in the content of following Christ. In everything we need to give thanks to Him. Acknowledge Him as the source of  our breathe, status in life, salvation, family, being - our everything.

When we quote some passages in the Bible, lets acknowledge God as the owner of it and not us. the preaching of our dear pastors and priest, for we often say it that their preachings had strike us most. It was not them who had touch dour lives, but it is our Lord Jesus Christ Word, as His word says that the Word of God (Scripture) is described as a spiritual weapon of great power--in this case, a sword that cuts straight to the heart. It cuts past excuses and defenses, and confronts us with its truth. Hebrews 4:12. Therefore it is not the person who talks about God change us, but the one who was the source of everything in that certain person as this person was used By the Almighty as His instrument to have an impact in our lives.

Other thing is that when the praise and worship sang songs, where God's presence is acknowledge.
How would you feel that you are the guest of a certain celebration, yet you were not recognized?
That would be possibly, God's emotion too. Think about this.

Is it really possible to give thanks in all circumstances, no matter how bad? This doesn't mean we need to be thankful for every turn of events in our lives, but it does mean we are to cultivate a thankful spirit--giving thanks for the good things in life, and looking for ways in which God brings blessings out of even the most difficult experiences.1Thessalonians 5:18

To you be the Glory forever Lord.
