God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box, And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day, The black was as light as before.
With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be!"
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
"My child, they're all here with me.."
I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go."

Semester to fill the clicks away

As a Devcom student this is the subject I really enjoy the most. The pressures, the moment with our professor, the immersion thing, was memorable. Everything was so amazing. Simply amazing, yet can’t be fully expressed well.
light tent photographty exercise
I learned in this photography class of mine how to see things in this world differently. I start to appreciate little things, to marvel in the art that God had set right before our eyes, to convey these arts in a gallery called Developmental journalism/ Photojournalism. It was a great challenge for me to be enrolled in this class, since I don’t have my personal Digital Single Lens Reflex Camera.
I learned also about the Basics of Photgraphy, especially compositions. This topic really brought me to an exploration of the world. Seeing the world with the eyes as lens and mind like a shutter.

I should have learned to value those things that he had taught us. I didn't say I wasn't able to value it but I'm so sad to take for granted all the excercise he had given. Where in it was the best avenue for me as a student to unleash my potentials and developing my eye. My submission of late outputs shows how lenient am I sometimes. I became so lenient for I am tired of asking help and from my classmates to lend their camera to me. However, he encoourages me to do better in my excercises. I may not be a good photographer this day, but I am certain that someday I will make my name in line of photography. Not with the Irishmaeesin photography. com ( :D), but of a name in the photojournalism field. Thanks to my teacher Mr. Evans Rosauro Yonson who inspires me to pursue such ability to make picture not just shot pictures.

With this , I desire this summer to pursue my request in the scholarship about my DSLR cam (though la na koy DC89 class), take photos to tell people of how was our society now.

I will take my notes with me also as a guide in takiong photos. Take it by heart, Shoot by heart. "Observe, think and shoot", Sir Evans said. This helps me understand that photography doesn';t matter on the camera but on how we observe things, immerse ourselves to the community, think and shoot to capture thoughts and emotions of people or tell stories.

I love to be in a photography class. Hopefully I can still have him as my teacher next sem. So chill, yet a warm thoughts for us melts our hearts.

Photo Marathon

Aggie cheering Squad
The 2011 Intramurals with the theme, On the Edge of Glory, was amazing. It has breath taking stunts during the Cheer dance Competition . Aggies got the fourth place this year. most of the Cheering squad of the said college cried. It was for the first time that my heart was broken. upon knowing how the team had worked hard which lead to some of them be injured. I won't be shocked if they can't hold back their tears.

Like me. So sad, I can't have a good shot this time. My 6mm digital can barely cover the very stunning event. it has an aperture of 3.2. However I can't still get a good focus in my picture.

It has always been my prayer to have a camera and may our scholarship program will provide one for my easy learning and application in photography.
